The Alan Price Set was a British musical group formed in 1965 by Alan Price after leaving The Animals. The band was known for hits such as "I Put a Spell on You" (1966), "Hi-Lili, Hi-Lo" (1966), "Simon Smith and the Amazing Dancing Bear" (1967), and "The House That Jack Built" (1967). Their debut album, "The Price to Play," was released in December 1966 and featured mainly covers of American rhythm and blues and soul songs. The second album, "A Price on His Head" (1967), included seven songs by Randy Newman. The group disbanded in the late 1960s, with Alan Price continuing a successful solo career.
