Alborosie, born Alberto D'Ascola, is an Italian reggae artist from Marsala, Sicily. He began his musical career in 1993 as a member of the band Reggae National Tickets. In 2001, he moved to Jamaica, working as a sound engineer and producer. He has released several albums, including "Soul Pirate" (2008), "Escape From Babylon" (2009), and "Freedom & Fyah" (2016). His music blends elements of reggae, dancehall, and dub. He has collaborated with artists such as Ky-Mani Marley and Protoje. In 2011, he won the MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act.
