Alex Goodman is a Canadian jazz guitarist and composer. In 2014, he won the guitar competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival and received the Herb Alpert Jazz Composer Award in 2013. His 2016 album "Border Crossing" features seven tracks, including "Acrobat" and "Pure Imagination." Goodman's music blends elements of modern classical, jazz, and world music. The recording took place at Canterbury Studios in Toronto and was released under the OA2 Records label. Collaborators on the album include Andrew Downing (cello), Michael Davidson (vibraphone), and Rogerio Boccato (percussion).
