Alex Somers is an American musician and producer known for his collaboration with Icelandic band Sigur Rós and its frontman Jónsi. Together with Jónsi, he formed the project Riceboy Sleeps, releasing a self-titled ambient album in 2009. Somers has contributed to the production of several Sigur Rós albums and Jónsi's solo projects. In 2021, he released his first solo albums, "Siblings" and "Siblings 2", featuring ambient and experimental tracks. His music is characterized by atmospheric soundscapes and minimalist arrangements.
