Alex Turner is an English musician, best known as the lead vocalist and songwriter of the Arctic Monkeys. In 2011, he released his debut solo EP titled "Submarine," serving as the soundtrack for Richard Ayoade's film. The EP comprises six original tracks written by Turner in 2009 on an acoustic guitar at his New York City apartment. Recording took place in London under the production of James Ford, with guest musician Bill Ryder-Jones. Musically, the EP features an indie folk sound with influences from baroque pop and psychedelic pop. The lyrics reflect the film's melancholic tone, exploring themes of romance, loneliness, and depression. Despite deviating from Turner's previous work, "Submarine" was positively received and reached number 35 on the UK Albums Chart. The products available from the artist Alex Turner include CDs.
