Alexander Grychtolik is a German harpsichordist, conductor, and musicologist known for his reconstructions of lost works by Johann Sebastian Bach. He studied harpsichord at the Hochschule für Musik "Franz Liszt" in Weimar and the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. His notable projects include the reconstruction of Bach's lost St. Mark Passion, BWV 247, and the Köthener Trauermusik, BWV 244a. Grychtolik is also the founder of the ensemble Deutsche Hofmusik and regularly performs at international festivals. His recordings have been acclaimed for their precision and artistic value.
