Alexander Krichel is a German pianist born in Hamburg in 1989. He studied under Vladimir Krainev in Hanover and later with Dmitri Alexeev at the Royal College of Music in London. Krichel is renowned for his interpretations of challenging piano works by composers such as Beethoven, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Prokofiev. He has released several albums, including "Frühlingsnacht" (2013), "Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No. 2 & Moments Musicaux" (2015), and "Miroirs - Ravel Piano Works" (2017). He has collaborated with orchestras like the Dresden Philharmonic and conductors such as Michael Sanderling. Krichel is also the artistic director of the "Kultur Rockt" festival and is involved in projects promoting classical music among youth.
