Alexandra was a German singer and songwriter born in 1942 in Heydekrug, East Prussia (now Šilutė, Lithuania). She began her musical career in the 1960s and gained popularity with hits like "Zigeunerjunge" and "Sehnsucht". Her music combined elements of pop and schlager, with her deep voice and emotional interpretations setting her apart from contemporaries. Alexandra collaborated with prominent composers and lyricists of her time. Her career was tragically cut short in 1969 when she died in a car accident at the age of 27.
