Amorphis is a Finnish metal band formed in 1990 in Helsinki. Initially playing death metal, they later expanded their style to include progressive and folk metal. Their lyrics often draw from the Finnish national epic, the Kalevala. Notable albums include "Tales from the Thousand Lakes" (1994), "Elegy" (1996), and "Queen of Time" (2018). The current lineup consists of Esa Holopainen (lead guitar), Tomi Koivusaari (rhythm guitar), Jan Rechberger (drums), Olli-Pekka Laine (bass guitar), Santeri Kallio (keyboards), and Tomi Joutsen (vocals).
