Amythyst Kiah is an American singer-songwriter from Chattanooga, Tennessee, who plays guitar and banjo. She has released the albums "Dig" (2013), "Her Chest of Glass" (2016), "Wary + Strange" (2021), and "Still + Bright" (2024). Her music blends elements of folk, alternative rock, blues, and country. In 2019, she collaborated with Rhiannon Giddens, Leyla McCalla, and Allison Russell on the album "Songs of Our Native Daughters." The song "Black Myself" from this album was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best American Roots Song category.
