Ana Carla Maza is a Cuban cellist and singer known for her unique blend of classical training and Latin American influences. Born in 1995 in Havana into a musical family, her father is Chilean pianist and composer Carlos Maza. Ana Carla began playing piano in childhood under the guidance of Miriam Valdés, sister of renowned pianist Chucho Valdés, and later transitioned to the cello. In 2022, she released the album "Bahía," followed by over 150 concerts in 14 countries. In December 2023, she released "Caribe," transforming the intimacy of the cello into a colorful, energetic, and danceable Latin jazz sextet.
