Andrew Bird is an American multi-instrumentalist and singer known for his unique violin playing style, which incorporates the use of loops and effect pedals, whistling, and singing. Throughout his career, he has released 16 studio albums, with his music encompassing genres such as swing, indie rock, and folk. In the 1990s, he performed in jazz ensembles, including Squirrel Nut Zippers and Kevin O'Donnell's Quality Six. He later formed his own swing ensemble, Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire, releasing three albums between 1998 and 2001.
