Angry Samoans is an American punk band formed in August 1978 in Los Angeles, California, by former rock critics "Metal" Mike Saunders and Gregg Turner. Their debut album, "Inside My Brain" (1980), and the follow-up "Back from Samoa" (1982) are considered hardcore punk classics. The band is known for their short, energetic songs and satirical lyrics. Throughout their career, they underwent several lineup changes, with drummer Bill Vockeroth remaining a constant member. Their music has influenced many later punk and alternative bands.
