Anima Eterna Brugge is a Belgian symphony orchestra based in Bruges, founded in 1987 by Jos van Immerseel. Initially a baroque ensemble, it expanded into a full-fledged orchestra with a repertoire spanning from the baroque period to the 20th century. The orchestra is resident at the Concertgebouw Brugge and collaborates with the Opéra de Dijon. Notable recordings include Beethoven's symphonies, Berlioz's "Symphonie Fantastique," and Orff's "Carmina Burana." In 2010, they received the ECHO Klassik award for "Symphonie Fantastique." In September 2024, they ended their collaboration with van Immerseel due to repeated aggressive behavior and breaches of contractual obligations. The products available from the artist Anima Eterna Brugge include CDs.
