Anne-Sophie Mutter is a German violinist born in 1963 in Rheinfelden. She began her career at age 13 under the guidance of conductor Herbert von Karajan. Since then, she has recorded over 50 albums, including works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Mendelssohn. Mutter is known for her support of contemporary music, premiering works by composers such as Witold Lutosławski and Krzysztof Penderecki. Throughout her career, she has won four Grammy Awards and numerous other significant honors. In 1997, she founded a foundation to support young musicians.
