Antal Doráti was a Hungarian-American conductor renowned for his recordings and interpretations of classical music. Born in Budapest, he studied at the Liszt Academy of Music. Throughout his career, he led several prominent orchestras, including the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, where he recorded Mussorgsky's 'Pictures at an Exhibition'. Doráti was known for his recordings of the complete symphonies of Joseph Haydn and his work with the London Symphony Orchestra. His contributions to the musical world also include premieres and revivals of lesser-known works.
