Anthony Branker is an American composer and conductor known for his work in jazz. His 2024 album "Songs My Mom Liked" is a tribute to his 88-year-old mother, who suffers from dementia. The album features 12 tracks, including 11 reimagined versions of his previous compositions and one piece, "If," written by his daughter at age 11. Collaborating musicians include Donny McCaslin, Philip Dizack, Fabian Almazan, Linda May Han Oh, Rudy Royston, Pete McCann, and Aubrey Johnson.
