Anthropods is an Austrian jazz ensemble led by American drummer and composer Mark Holub, known for his work with Led Bib. Formed in Vienna in 2022, the group released their debut album "Anthropods" the same year. In 2024, they followed up with "Abundant Shores," an eight-part suite blending composition and improvisation. Their music incorporates elements of avant-garde and contemporary jazz. The ensemble comprises Mark Holub (drums), Clemens Sainitzer (cello), Irene Kepl (violin), Susanna Gartmayer (bass clarinet), and Jakob Gnigler (tenor saxophone).
