Apotheus is a Portuguese progressive metal band from Paços de Ferreira, founded in 2008. The band consists of Miguel Andrade (vocals/rhythm guitar), Luís "Gold Monkey" (lead guitar), Daniel Rocha (bass), and Albano "von Hammer" (drums). Their music combines heavy riffs, intricate rhythms, and delicate melodies, drawing inspiration from the science fiction works of Isaac Asimov. Their 2019 album "The Far Star" received critical acclaim, and in 2023, they released its sequel, "Ergo Atlas".
