April March, born Elinor Blake, is an American singer-songwriter known for her work in both English and French. She began her music career in the 1980s as a member of bands The Pussywillows and The Shitbirds. In 1995, she released her debut album "Chrominance Decoder" in collaboration with French musician Bertrand Burgalat. Among her most notable songs is "Chick Habit," featured in Quentin Tarantino's film "Death Proof." Her musical style blends pop, rock, and retro-futuristic sounds with influences from French yé-yé music. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with various artists and performed at significant events, such as the South by Southwest festival in 2007.
