Art in America is an American progressive rock band formed in 1980 in Detroit, Michigan. The original lineup consisted of siblings Chris Flynn (guitar, vocals), Dan Flynn (drums), and Shishonee Flynn (harp, koto, tambura, vocals), along with Jim Kuha (bass guitar, vocals). The band was the first known rock group to feature a concert pedal harp as a key instrument. Their 1983 debut album, "Art in America," was produced by Eddy Offord, known for his work with Yes and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. The album included the single "Art in America," which reached No. 23 on the US Mainstream Rock chart. After a hiatus, the band released "Cloudborn" in 2018 and "Rise" in 2025.
