Art School Girlfriend is the stage name of Welsh musician Polly Mackey. In the early 2010s, she was a member of the shoegaze band Deaf Club. In 2016, she began her solo career under the name Art School Girlfriend. She has released two studio albums: "Is It Light Where You Are" in 2021 and "Soft Landing" in 2023. Her music combines electronic elements with indie pop and ambient sounds. Mackey has also collaborated with artists such as Ghostpoet and Arlo Parks. She currently resides in East London and hosts a monthly show on Foundation FM focusing on ambient electronica.
