Ash Ra Tempel was a German krautrock band formed in 1970 in Berlin by guitarist Manuel Göttsching, keyboardist Klaus Schulze, and bassist Hartmut Enke. Their debut album, "Ash Ra Tempel" (1971), is considered a seminal work of the genre, blending psychedelic rock with electronic experimentation. Subsequent albums include "Schwingungen" (1972) and "Join Inn" (1973). The band is known for their long, improvisational tracks and pioneering approach to electronic music. Klaus Schulze left the band after the first album but later collaborated with them again. Ash Ra Tempel influenced many artists in the ambient and electronic music fields.
