Asobi Seksu was an American shoegaze/dream pop band from New York City, active between 2001 and 2013. The core members were Yuki Chikudate (vocals, keyboards) and James Hanna (guitar, vocals). Their music was characterized by layered guitar effects and ethereal vocals. They released their debut album, "Asobi Seksu," in 2004, followed by "Citrus" in 2006, which reached number 21 on the UK Indie Chart. Subsequent albums include "Hush" (2009) and "Fluorescence" (2011). Their songs appeared in various television shows and films, including "The L Word" and "Skins."
