Asteroid B-612 was an Australian hard rock band formed in Sydney in 1992. The original lineup included Michael Gibbons (guitar), Grant McIver (lead vocals), Scott Nash (bass guitar), Darren Pierce (drums), and John Spittles (guitar). The band released four studio albums: "Asteroid B-612" (1993), "Forced into a Corner" (1994), "Not Meant for This World" (1996), and "Readin' Between the Lines" (2000). Their music was influenced by Detroit rock and Australian bands like Radio Birdman and The New Christs. The band disbanded in 2004.
