Axel Schlosser is a German trumpeter and flugelhorn player known for his versatility in jazz music. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various big bands, including those led by Albert Mangelsdorff, Al Porcino, and Peter Herbolzheimer. In 2020, he released the album "To Satch and Duke" with his quartet, paying tribute to Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington. The album features 17 tracks associated with these jazz legends, including "In a Mellow Tone" and "West End Blues". Schlosser is also a member of the hr-Bigband and leads his own musical projects.
