Ayako Hosokawa is a Japanese jazz vocalist who began her career at age 14, performing in American military clubs in Japan. After moving to the United States, she collaborated with Earl "Fatha" Hines and gained fans in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Montreal. In the 1980s, she returned to Japan, becoming one of the country's most renowned pop and jazz singers. Her 1977 album "To Mr. Wonderful" features jazz standards like "Misty" and "The Lady Is a Tramp." She has collaborated with musicians such as Tsuyoshi Yamamoto and Shoji Yokouchi.
