Ayako Ito is a Japanese pianist born in Tokyo. She studied at the Toho-Gakuen College of Music and later in Europe under Theodor Paraskivesco in Paris and Jos van Immerseel in Antwerp, where she earned a master's degree with honors in 2002. Specializing in historical keyboard instruments, she has been performing on fortepiano since 2000. In 2022, she released an album featuring Schubert's works, which received international acclaim.
