Aztlan Unearthed is an acoustic group focusing on indigenous music, serving as an extension of the Aztlan / Anahuak Underground ensemble. Members Yaotl Mazahua, Joe Galarza, and Caxo aim to preserve their native culture through music that emphasizes instruments inherited from their ancestors. Their goal is to convey the sounds, energies, and frequencies of their forebears. The project was produced and mixed by Carlos Niño and was released on October 11, 2024. The vinyl edition includes a bonus track, "Aetheriaztlan," by Carlos Niño & Friends, originally released on the album "Flutes, Echoes, It's All Happening!" by Carlos Niño & Friends.
