BABYMETAL is a Japanese band formed in 2010 in Tokyo, blending elements of heavy metal and J-pop. Initially a sub-unit of the idol group Sakura Gakuin, they later became independent. The current lineup consists of Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto), Moametal (Moa Kikuchi), and Momometal (Momoko Okazaki). The band has released four studio albums: "Babymetal" (2014), "Metal Resistance" (2016), "Metal Galaxy" (2019), and "The Other One" (2023). BABYMETAL is known for their unique "kawaii metal" style, combining "kawaii" (cuteness) with metal music.
