Bailter Space is a New Zealand band formed in 1987 in Christchurch. Originally known as Nelsh Bailter Space, the group emerged from members of The Gordons. Their musical style blends noise rock, shoegaze, and space rock. Notable albums include "Tanker" (1988), "Thermos" (1990), "Robot World" (1993), and "Vortura" (1994). Their 1995 album "Wammo" reached number 23 on the New Zealand charts. The band is known for their intense live performances and innovative sound.
