Banda is a Slovak world music group from Bratislava, founded in 2003. Members Samo Smetana (violin, mandolin, vocals), Alžbeta Lukáčová (cimbalom, heligonka, vocals), Ivan Hanula (viola, mandolin, vocals), Peter Obuch (double bass, vocals), and Igor Ajdži Sabo (drums, percussion, vocals) perform traditional Slovak folk songs in modern arrangements, drawing inspiration from various musical genres and the folklore of other nations. Their discography includes the albums 'Banda jedna' (2010), 'hraBanda' (2014), 'Telegrafy' (2018), and 'Banda si koleduje' (2022).
