Banda Black Rio is a Brazilian musical group from Rio de Janeiro, formed in 1976. The band is known for its unique style that blends funk, samba, and jazz. Their debut album, "Maria Fumaça," released in 1977, is considered a classic of the genre. This was followed by "Gafieira Universal" (1978) and "Saci Pererê" (1980).
