Banks, born Jillian Rose Banks on June 16, 1988, in Orange County, California, is an American singer and songwriter. She began her music career in 2013 with the release of two EPs, 'Fall Over' and 'London', followed by her debut album 'Goddess' in 2014. This album reached number 12 on the Billboard 200 chart and featured the single 'Beggin for Thread', which received platinum certification from the RIAA. Her second album, 'The Altar', was released in 2016 and peaked at number 17 on the Billboard 200. The third album, 'III', was released in 2019 and reached number 21 on the same chart. In 2022, she released her fourth album, 'Serpentina'. Banks is known for her alternative pop and R&B sound and has collaborated with artists such as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Shlohmo.
