The Beaux Arts Trio was a significant piano trio that debuted on July 13, 1955, at the Berkshire Music Festival in Lenox, Massachusetts. Throughout their existence, which lasted until 2008, the trio recorded the entire standard piano trio repertoire. In 2005, they celebrated their 50th anniversary with special CD releases featuring their most popular recordings and new compositions. The founding member and constant pianist was Menahem Pressler. The trio was nominated for the GRAMMY Award four times, including a nomination in 2007 for "Shostakovich: Piano Trios 1 & 2, Seven Romances On Verses By Alexander Blok".
