Ben Folds Five was an American alternative rock trio formed in 1993 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The group consisted of Ben Folds (lead vocals, piano), Robert Sledge (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Darren Jessee (drums, backing vocals). Their second album, "Whatever and Ever Amen" (1997), featured the single "Brick," which became their biggest hit. The band released three studio albums before disbanding in 2000. Throughout their career, they contributed to several soundtracks and compilations. In 2011, they reunited and released their fourth album, "The Sound of the Life of the Mind," in 2012.
