Ben Kim is an American pianist who won first prize at the 55th ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2006. He has performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Concertgebouw, and Musikverein with orchestras including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the German Radio Symphony Orchestra. His recording of Chopin's Preludes and Impromptus was released under Universal Decca and received the "Editor's Choice" award from Record Geijutsu. Ben Kim studied at the Peabody Conservatory under Leon Fleisher and Yong Hi Moon, and continued at the Berlin University of the Arts with Klaus Hellwig. He currently resides in Berlin.
