Bennie Green was an American jazz trombonist known for his warm tone and accessible style. In 1958, he released the album "Back on the Scene" under the Blue Note label, collaborating with saxophonist Charlie Rouse, pianist Joe Knight, bassist George Tucker, and drummer Louis Hayes. The album features tracks like "I Love You" and "Melba's Mood". Green was recognized for his blues-inflected approach to hard bop and worked with artists such as Sonny Clark and Elvin Jones during his career. Later in his career, he performed with hotel bands in Las Vegas and made occasional appearances at events like the Newport Jazz Festival in 1972. He passed away in 1977.
