Bert Joris is a Belgian jazz trumpeter, composer, and arranger. He began his career in 1978 as a soloist with the BRT Radio Jazz Orchestra, where he remained until 1987. In 1986, he released his first album, "Sweet Seventina." Joris is known for his collaborations with artists such as Philip Catherine and Enrico Pieranunzi. His compositions and arrangements have been performed by orchestras worldwide, including the Brussels Jazz Orchestra. Additionally, he is a respected educator and has played a key role in developing jazz departments at several conservatories.
