Big Boys were an American punk band formed in 1979 in Austin, Texas. The original lineup consisted of Randy "Biscuit" Turner (vocals), Tim Kerr (guitar), Chris Gates (bass), and Steve Collier (drums). The band was known for their innovative fusion of punk and funk, influencing later bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers. Notable albums include "Where's My Towel/Industry Standard" (1981), "Lullabies Help the Brain Grow" (1983), and "No Matter How Long the Line at the Cafeteria, There's Always a Seat!" (1984). Big Boys were also pioneers of skate punk, and their energetic live performances often involved audience interaction and encouragement to start their own bands.
