Billow Observatory is a trans-Atlantic duo consisting of Jason Kolb from Michigan and Jonas Munk from Denmark. Collaborating since 2006, they are known for their ambient music that blends guitar textures with electronic elements. Their debut album, 'Billow Observatory,' was released in 2012, followed by 'II: Plains/Patterns' in 2017, 'III: Chroma/Contour' in 2019, and 'Stareside' in 2022. Their music is characterized by slow, detailed soundscapes that create an introspective atmosphere. Kolb is also a member of the band Auburn Lull, while Munk is known for his work as Manual and collaborations with Ulrich Schnauss.
