Billy Gray was an American western swing guitarist born in Paris, Texas. At 19, he formed his own band and hosted a radio show in Paris. He later became the leader of Hank Thompson & His Brazos Valley Boys and, together with Hank Thompson, founded the Texoma Music Publishing Company and the Brazos Valley Publishing Company. They co-wrote hits like "Waiting in the Lobby of Your Heart" and "A Fool, a Faker." In 1954, he released a duet with Wanda Jackson, "You Can't Have My Love," which became his only charting hit.
