Billy Strange was an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actor. He was a member of the group of studio musicians known as The Wrecking Crew. Strange collaborated with artists such as Nancy Sinatra, for whom he arranged the hit "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'", and Elvis Presley, with whom he co-wrote "A Little Less Conversation". He released several instrumental albums, including "12 String Guitar" and "The Funky 12 String Guitar". Strange was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame in 2007.
