Black Francis, born Charles Michael Kittridge Thompson IV, is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist, best known as the frontman of the alternative rock band Pixies. After Pixies disbanded in 1993, he embarked on a solo career under the name Frank Black, later reverting to Black Francis. Notable solo albums include "Bluefinger" and "NonStopErotik". In 2007, he released the live album "Live at the Hotel Utah Saloon", featuring songs from his solo career and Pixies era. His music blends elements of rock, alternative rock, and indie rock.
