Black Tusk is an American sludge metal band from Savannah, Georgia, formed in 2005. The band originally consisted of Andrew Fidler (guitar, vocals), Jonathan Athon (bass, vocals), and James May (drums, vocals). Their music blends elements of sludge metal, hardcore punk, and stoner metal. Notable albums include "Passage Through Purgatory" (2008), "Taste the Sin" (2010), and "Set the Dial" (2011). In 2014, bassist Jonathan Athon passed away following a motorcycle accident. Despite this loss, the band continued to create music, releasing "The Way Forward" in 2024.
