Blight is a Canadian black metal band formed in 2008 in Montreal. During their early years, they released several sought-after tapes in the underground scene. After a brief hiatus from 2010 to 2011, frontman Gabriel McCaughry joined forces with members Pascal Pelletier, Cedric Deschamps, and Rob Lapalme to form the current lineup. Their album "Temple of Wounds" was released on June 5, 2020, under Svart Records. Blight's music is characterized by powerful choirs, fiery chants, and a dynamic approach to black metal, with lyrics exploring deep aspects of inner alchemical transmutation.
