Blossom Dearie was an American jazz singer and pianist known for her light, girlish voice. Throughout her career, she recorded several albums, including "Blossom Dearie" (1957), "Give Him the Ooh-La-La" (1958), and "Once Upon a Summertime" (1958). She collaborated with artists such as Johnny Mercer, Miles Davis, and Bob Dorough. In 1973, she founded her own label, Daffodil Records, becoming one of the first women to own an independent label in the U.S. Her voice and songs appeared in various films and television shows, including "Schoolhouse Rock!".
