Bob Bain was an American guitarist known for his contributions to film music, including "Dr. Zhivago" (1965), where he played the balalaika in scenes featuring "Lara's Theme". His professional career began in the 1940s, playing guitar in big bands led by Tommy Dorsey and Bob Crosby. Bain was a longtime collaborator with composer Henry Mancini and is recognized for his guitar introduction to the theme from the television series "Peter Gunn".
