Bobby Marchan was an American singer and songwriter known for his work in the rhythm and blues and soul genres. Between 1954 and 1962, he recorded for the Ace and Fire labels, producing some of the earliest examples of soul music. His biggest hit, "There's Something On Your Mind" from 1960, reached number one on the R&B chart. Other notable tracks include "Chickee Wah-Wah," "I'll Never Let You Go," and "You Can't Stop Her." Marchan was also known for his collaboration with Huey 'Piano' Smith and the group The Clowns. His contributions to music left a lasting impact on the rhythm and blues genre.
