Bola de Nieve, born Ignacio Jacinto Villa Fernández, was a Cuban singer, pianist, and composer. He was born in Guanabacoa, Cuba, and studied at the José Mateu Conservatory. He began his career as an accompanist for Rita Montaner in the 1930s. After Montaner returned to Cuba, he remained in Mexico, where he developed an original style as a singer and pianist. His repertoire included songs in various languages, including French, English, Catalan, Portuguese, and Italian. He was known for his ironic delivery and subtle musical interpretation. Throughout his career, he collaborated with notable figures such as Andrés Segovia and Pablo Neruda. He passed away in Mexico City during a musical tour.
